Brenacon were engaged by Cleary Bros (Bombo) to undertake the site remediation of 15 no. bush fire damaged properties in Eurobodalla Shire NSW, as part of the Laing O’Rourke lead NSW Bushfire Recovery program.
Project: NSW Bushfire Recovery Program
Brenacon were required to undertake the site remediation of multiple properties in Eurobodalla, Cadgee and Belowra NSW due to contamination from friable asbestos, as a result of the NSW bushfires in the summer of 2019/20
Brenacon were requested to mobilise to remote locations quickly, undertake the removal works and relocate to the next project in order to meet the clean-up program set by the Public Works Advisory.
The scope of work requested of Brenacon included, site establishment, asbestos management, asbestos remediation, whilst mitigating asbestos fibre release and obtaining a clearance certificate for each property.
All works were performed under strict Health, Safety, Environment and Quality controls with audits being undertaken at any time by our client, SafeWork NSW and Public Works Advisory. Despite this level of scrutiny, not a single non-conformance was raised against the project team.
Our swift action allowed our client to achieve its program goals to enable the impacted residents to move on with their lives as quickly as possible.
