Brenacon were engaged by Xcav8 Civil & Plant to undertake the site remediation of 3no. bush fire damaged properties in Narooma NSW, as part of the Laing O’Rourke lead NSW Bushfire Recovery program.

Brenacon were required to undertake the site remediation of multiple properties in Narooma due to contamination from friable asbestos, as a result of the NSW bushfires in the summer of 2019/20.
Brenacon were requested to mobilise to remote locations quickly, undertake the removal works and relocate to the next project in order to meet the clean-up program set by the Public Works Advisory.
The scope of work requested of Brenacon included, site establishment, asbestos management (including the deployment of our custom built wet decontamination unit), asbestos remediation, whilst mitigating asbestos fibre release and obtaining a clearance certificate for each property.
Our swift action allowed our client to achieve its program goals to enable the impacted residents to move on with their lives as quickly as possible.
