Project Profile: NSW Bushfire Recovery – Make Safe

It is with great pride that Brenacon has been able to assist the NSW Bushfire recovery efforts for those impacted by the bushfires that ravaged large parts of NSW in the summer of 2019-2020, known as the black summer

Project:              NSW Bushfire Recovery: Make-Safe

Client:                 White Wolf Constructionns

Timeframe:       3 months

Location:            Across NSW

Brenacon were engaged by White Wolf Constructions to undetake the assessment and make-safe of over 150 bushfire damaged properties across NSW.

Brenacon were requested to mobilise to remote locations quickly, in order to prevent friable asbestos exposure, caused by the bushfires of Summer 2019/20.

The scope of work requested of Brenacon included, material and dust sampling for contaminants, asbestos removal, securing each site and applying a polymer to seal the asbestos to the debris whilst the mass clean-up was arranged.

Our swift action allowed our client to complete the required scope to mitigate the risk of exposure to the community and liability to our client.

Project Summary:

  • Application of polymer binder by both hand and mechanical methods
  • Installation of site danger signage
  • Installation of temporary fencing
